Walking on the Beach Assignment

ECE ELA Day 1: Story Time Note to Parents: The following story should be read to students while they follow along with the picture in front of them.

Palo likes to take walks. He is a man who lives on an island. His best walks are on the beach. He listens to the sound of the wind in the trees. He sees the waves in the ocean. He hears the birds in the trees. He is friends with all of the animals there.

He likes crabs. He likes lizards. He likes bugs. He likes bats. He likes birds. He likes fish. He likes turtles. And they like him!

When Palo is in the forest, or on the beach, or in the river, or in the sea he feels happy and calm. These are his best places to be, to see, to keep in his mind. These are the places he loves!
